Tips: Silicon Carbide (SiC) is produced in an electric furnace at temperatures in excess of 2200 Celsius. SiC is produced by fusing coke and high purity silica sand. The result is the formation of SiC crystals which are very hard. SiC also has a very high thermal conductivity and is very strong at elevated temperatures.

F type Black SiC: We offer F TYPE black silicon carbide powders for the abrasive wheel, slurry, refractory and ceramic industries. Abrasive black silicon carbide powders specifically manufactured to be used for general abrasive applications in bonded abrasive tools, lapping and polishing processes. With a lower hardness and abrasive capacity than diamond or boron carbide, it is widely used for grinding nonferrous materials, finishing tough and hard materials, as well as filling up ceramic parts due to its lower cost.
